To prepare Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, cut 2 lbs of chicken and 1 lb of smoked sausage, brown, and combine with 2 quarts of water or chicken stock in a 4-quart pot. Add the Ragin’ Cajun Gumbo Mix and stir well. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer on low for 25 minutes. Serve over rice and enjoy. Crafted in Lafayette, LA.

OPTIONS FOR GUMBO RECIPES

- Chop and sautée 2 cups of okra in a small amount of vegetable oil. Drain and add to gumbo.

- Ten minutes before gumbo is ready, add 2 tbsp of chopped green onions.

- Add 1 lb smoked andouille sausage or kielbasa in place of other meats.

*When preparing without meat, use 2-1/4 cups of water.
